Another great season of Junior Rugby at Blackheath FC

Posted by

Another season nearly at a close for our Club and another successful year across many of our junior age groups. Just as with our senior players representing England Counties year after year, we are also delighted at the constant flow of our junior players into the Kent County squads.

Well Done to all the players that go on to represent the County.image1

For this years U15’s who saw six of the squad represent Kent at various Levels which is a tremendous showing for one of our smallest age groups at Blackheath Rugby, there were two that went one step further. So a special mention and congratulations to Brandon Jackson and James Biss who were selected to represent Kent at the Elite level.

Brandon and James joined Blackheath several years ago (having played soccer) and have absorbed all of the coaching and applied themselves week in week out representing the Club at age group Kent Finals season after season and become integral to the age groups successes.

They have improved and worked harder every season and have shown a natural talent for our sport and with the guidance of Club coaching they have developed a great Rugby skill set.

For the new season we will also see some boys returning to Blackheath as senior rugby players after a successful few seasons at Harlequins and Bedford having also gone through the Kent Elite programme and we look forward to seeing those boys represent Blackheath 1st XV soon
