Blackheath Academy’s terrific performance wins the league in Norfolk!

Blackheath Academy’s progress made has been staggering this season when, after losing their first two fixtures, they have gone on to win the league with a game in hand still.

Yesterday, up against an unpredictable and powerful Easton Otley side Blackheath defended with determination and organisation, and their composure with the ball 20161123-BlackheathAcademyvEastonOtley-HJW046was rewarded by three first half tries down the hill.

Easton Otley made good use of the slope in the second half but only entered the Blackheath half twice, and only scoring on one occasion. Blackheath Academy fought for everything and their level of intensity was too much for Easton Otley to cope with, running in a further four tries in the second half to take the game away from their hosts.

The final score Blackheath Academy 41 Easton Otley 17

The boys can be particularly proud of their performance and what they have achieved this season.
