After the encouraging 29-14 win at The Rock against Rosslyn Park, Blackheath return to home to soil to take on Hull Ionians at Well Hall tomorrow.
Having been promoted back up the ladder after a season in National League Two North, the Yorkshiremen are, currently, struggling to find their feet again at Level Three, and have lost all four matches to date.
However, the last meeting, on Humberside, saw Ionians triumph 32-21 (a week after the Club’s memorable 62-29 victory at home against Coventry) and in James Tincknell, Hull possess one of the best centres in this league.
James Shanahan makes a number of changes for tomorrow’s match, with Henry Staff, Freddie Gabbitass and Stef Liebenberg all starting, while up front, Devin Montgomery and Jack Rouse are both included in the starting XV.
Blackheath v Hull Ionians is a 3.00 pm kick-off at Well Hall, but before the all-important Club game, there is the England v Argentina match.
Well Hall will, of course, be open early with the Greene King Bar opening at 8:30, for you to enjoy the action, and food will be available from half-time.
