Club kicks off the World Cup in style @ Well Hall

Posted by

Last night Club members followed up last weeks Trophy visit by opening the World Cup in style.  with a large crowd enjoying the England v Fiji match at Well Hall. Some fifty plus members and supporters, including 2 whole tables from the Men’s Section, sat down to a pre match dinner. It was great to see so many people supporting another new new venture by the Club.

The diners were later joined by many more people to watch the game on TV.  By the time the match kicked off just about every section of the Club were represented: Club stalwarts, players from the 3rd and 5th XVs, Minis and Juniors players and supporters.  As the rugby on TV ebbed and flowed the atmosphere in the Clubhouse grew and grew. By the end of the night everyone had had a great evening and were happy with the result, apart from a couple of our members who seemed to be supporting Fiji!

It was a great night Tim, well organised. Especially loved the entertainment you arranged with Olly Brewer and John Hull.
