It is difficult to estimate the impact of the current Coronavirus outbreak on Blackheath Rugby as it develops in the UK but we are monitoring Government advice on a daily basis with a view to doing all we can to safeguard members, visitors, players and our staff.
We are taking a number of straightforward steps in the Clubhouse and changing rooms to try and contain the spread of the virus if it were to enter. These include:
- disinfecting handles, door push plates, banisters, bar surfaces at least twice each day;
- cleaning tables with disinfectant spray after use;
- regular cleaning of chair backs and arms with disinfectant spray.
Members are requested to make themselves aware of government advice on hand-washing and self isolation and to avoid the Club if they have any reason to believe they might be at risk of carrying the virus. If Members or other site users attend with visitors, please ensure that their guests follow the same guidance which can be found here via this link. Notices displayed around the Club will ensure that any external visitors are aware of and follow the same guidelines.
Members of staff have been similarly advised to stay away from the Club if they exhibit any symptoms or have any reason to believe they might be at risk of carrying the virus. They have been assured that the Club will do everything that it reasonably can to support them should staying away become necessary.
Should anyone who has attended the Club in the previous 14 days test positive for the virus we would be grateful if they would arrange for the Club to be informed by e-mailing email@example.com for him to inform the Exec so any appropriate action can be taken.
Thank you all for your cooperation
