Gregor Gillanders joins Blackheath

As training for the 2015-16 National League One season gets underway, Blackheath are delighted to announce that Gregor Gillanders has joined their playing squad.

The 27-year old back-row arrives after spending the 2014-15 campaign with Championship side London Scottish who recently made the semi-finals of the play-off for promotion to the top level, prior to which he played over 160 competitive matches in a six year spell with Bedford Blues which included a Premiership play-off final.

Gregor, who at 6’ 4” and over 17st can also play in the second-row, has represented England at U20 level and also had a period with Leicester Tigers.

We look forward to seeing Gregor in Club colours against his former side when Blackheath welcome the Scottish Exiles to Well Hall in their first pre-season match on Saturday 15th August.

A tremendous coup for Blackheath to get Gregor on board, he will be a fantastic addition to the team for the forthcoming 2015/16 season.
He brings a wealth of experience with him from the years spent playing at the highest level in the Championship. Gregor is the consummate professional.
