Honouring Players Achievements

Posted by

At Blackheath we have long had the tradition where 1st XV players are presented with a commemorative tie to mark 25 appearances, followed more recently with a framed collage of photographs for 50 appearances and then another tie for the honour of 100 1st XV appearances. This season in addition to the presentation of a tie each player achieving 100 appearances for the 1st XV will be awarded a personalised Blackheath Club Cap in recognition of this milestone as a sign of the Club appreciation and also to recognise the commitment and effort that it takes to reach that number of appearances.

In this seasons current squad there are six players who have achieved that tremendous milestone so this Saturday after the game, as well as the usual Man of the Match, these six players will be presented with their individual caps by Club legend Dominic Walton who himself achieved 222 appearances for the 1st XV.

We invite everyone coming to the game to join us at 6pm in the Greene King bar to recognise and reward their achievements.

(They might be asked to see off a pint as well!)
