Nathan Morris has joined Blackheath from near-rivals Old Elthamians.
The 26-year old hooker, who played for Elthamians against the Club in their 31-25 win at Well Hall in December, switches clubs after the best part of three seasons at College Meadow and having made 95 1st team appearances for the side.
Originally from Carlisle, Nathan gained his rugby education at Sedbergh, the school in Cumbria which produced Will Carling and Will Greenwood, among many others, including recent England call-up Alex Moon.
He spent three years with Wasps (then London Wasps) followed by another three at London Welsh where he made 58 appearances, 18 of which were in the Premiership, before joining OEs in 2016.
‘I’m excited about joining Blackheath, it’s a club with a great rugby history.’
‘I developed a good relationship with James Shanahan (Blackheath head coach) having worked with him with England Counties last year, and also Tom Stradwick (forwards coach) having played under him for my adopted county of Kent.’
‘I’m looking forward to this new challenge.’
