Old Albanian v Blackheath – Team News

Posted by

Blackheath travel to Hertfordshire tomorrow to take on Old Albanian.  Kick-off at Woollam Playing Fields is at 3.00 pm.

OAs are currently second from bottom of National League One with just four wins this season.  Nevertheless their last two home games have seen a creditable draw against Ampthill and, more recently, a 50-28 victory against Hull Ionians who Blackheath lost to a fortnight ago.

The reverse fixture in October saw Blackheath as comfortable 31-3 winners, but the Club have not won away from Well Hall since early December and were defeated 36-10 on their  last visit to Woollams (when one James Shanahan was in charge) in March 2017.

Shanahan makes a few changes to the side that defeated Birmingham Moseley 20-12 last Saturday with Jack Walsh and Alex Pickersgill coming into the backs, while up front Harry Fry and Freddie Owen are given starts.
