It’s not even a month since the end of the 2017/18 season but already work is well underway to get ready for the 2018/19 campaign. The summer maintenance programme on Pitch One in particular is well underway, with verti-draining, sanding and reseeding all having been done (the local pigeon population are loving the tons of seeds out there!) and lots of other work underway.
The players are on a well earned break at the moment (although a few came to hand out the awards at the Minis end of season BBQ last Sunday) and they return for pre season training next month.
The National One fixture list is being prepared and will be announced when it is ready, but the pre season warm up games are known and in the diary, starting with the annual re-run of the oldest club rugby fixture in the world, when we travel to take on Richmond at the Athletic Ground. They also include Championship side Ealing Trailfinders and a local Kent Derby when TJ’s come to Well Hall:
- Friday 10th August: Richmond (Away)
- Saturday 18th August: Ealing Trailfinders, kick off 3pm (Home)
- Friday 24th August: Tonbridge Juddians, kick off 7:45pm (Home)
