The Rugby World Cup gets underway next week and we have a huge programme here at the Club for the opening weekend.
Saturday 21st September
We will open at 8am for France v Argentina, which kicks off at 8:15am (can France beat their nemesis team?) and then at 10:45 it is the big clash of New Zealand v South Africa. The pitchside Greene King bar will be open throughout and we will be serving bacon butties etc from the Bite me Burger bar between the stands from 10am.
There is then time to have the pre match lunch before Club v Richmond. Contact Richard Sheridan (Richardsheridan@btinternet.com) to book your place.
Those not attending the pre match lunch will be able to watch the Bandits, Clubs social team, in their opening league match against Old Dartfordians at 1pm.
The main event of the day, Club v Richmond, kicks off at 3pm
After the 1st XV match we have the Japanese Reception, celebrating the fact that the World Cup is being played in Japan. The event, details of which are here, will be hosted by Japanese pop singer and the official Ambassador of Rugby World Cup Japan, Naomi Suzuki. Tickets are £15 (limited numbers and only available in advance). To book yours click here to email Tilly Morgan.
Sunday 22nd September
We will open at 8am for Ireland v Scotland at 8:45am and England v Tonga at 11:15am. There will be a bacon butty service from the Bite Me Burger bar between the stands from half time of the Ireland v Scotland game.
And with perfect timing, following on shortly after the England game our U18s play Beckenham at 1:30pm to round off the day. It would be a great Club weekend if the stand had a good crowd in it to cheer on these young Club men in their opening Kent league match.
