Saturday 9th December – THE 20TH CENTURY REUNION

Posted by

We are planning a reunion which will include taking a massive 20th Century TEAM PHOTO. If you played, coached, helped manage or massaged in the 50’s(?) 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s then we need you at the Club on Saturday the 9th Dec. Don’t miss getting back together with your old team mates and transport yourself back to “The Good Old Days”.

We are attempting to get the biggest ever TEAM PHOTO taken which will be framed and proudly take its place on the clubhouse wall for all to see.

The day will start at 1230 with lunch (format to be confirmed) followed by the TEAM PHOTO before watching the first fifteen play against league newcomers Caldy, from the Wirral.

We need everybody to help us track down any players not on this mailing list, for what we hope will be a very special day. We understand a number of you are involved with other clubs and may be unavailable but try to free up the date and get along – you were, and still are, a very important team member and part of the Club’s history.

For those who cannot attend e.g. those in Australia and other foreign parts,   we aim to have another reunion at our last home game of the season on 21st April v Old Elthamians……you have time to book your flights!

Captains and Vice Captains please expect a further note from us and please do your best to get your team there. There may even be a few prizes on the day for best haircut etc. all to add to the day’s entertainment. We want to get to as many ex-players as we possibly can and we need everyone to send this email on to those not listed.

First things first:

  • Put the date – 9th December – in your diary NOW
  • email Paul on to confirm you will be there
  • bring a team mate so he can buy the beer
  • bring pictures to prove you once played, coached or were a medic
  • when you get there don’t bore people with your same old stories

Further details for the day will be published later.

C’mon Club!!!
