U17s Representing Club at the Highest Levels

Posted by

We are always pleased to share success with the wider Club community and this season two of our current U17’s are representing Blackheath Rugby at Saracens EPD.

Dan Ademola (seen on the left) joined Blackheath last season and whilst his rapid progress has not surprised U17’s Head Coach Russell Ticehurst who has been helping him develop since starting his rugby in Year 7 at Beths Grammar School, he is certainly developing as a quality back row player.

Whilst developing at both Blackheath and Saracens Brandon Jackson (seen on the right) has also been selected for England Academy Pathway Programme, which is a true reflection of his progress and also his natural talent for the sport. Brandon joined Club at U10 and has always stood out not least of all because of his natural physical presence but also his speed and power. He has progressed and developed each season and epitomises the modern young rugby player on his way up through the game. Brandon is not only a gifted rugby player but a “really nice lad” who definitely remembers where it all started here at Blackheath Rugby Club.

I’m sure you will all join in and wish Brandon and Dan all the best in the future rugby seasons and hope we see them in Club colours representing the 1st XV one day.
