The Blackheath U9s is a group of players, coaches and parents that values fun and respect for the values of the game as much as training and playing great rugby. Whether it be fielding several teams at the south east’s biggest festivals, cups of tea and chats on the touchline on Sunday mornings or giving the end of season speeches at the fundraising bbq we enjoy what we do and that enthusiasm manifests itself in some genuinely good, running rugby!
With a core group of 50 enthusiastic young players, 10 qualified coaches and a new, purpose built facility (including playground for the little ones and of course a tea hut) it’s a great way to spend a Sunday morning, make new friends and learn to play the game. Above all, we pride ourselves on providing a fun and safe learning environment in which the children not only learn how to run, pass and tackle but also teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.
We train on a Sunday morning from 10am until 12pm and participate in fixtures and festivals throughout the season both at home and all over Kent.
We welcome new players of any experience. The only requirements are enthusiasm and a desire to play the game.
