Hervey Road: A Space to Exercise Whilst Socially Distancing
Hervey Road Playing Fields is well loved and much used by many from the local community, and its use for sports is growing. In this time of COVID-19 crisis we have seen the suspension of all organised sports, the closure of schools and many people self-isolating. Exercise is important for mental as well as physical health and Hervey Road can now be used at any time by all local residents to take fresh air and exercise, whilst maintaining a safe 2m distance from others. Indeed it is regularly being used by 100 or so individuals or family groups daily, across the day.
The children’s playground is closed for use at present, as instructed by the Government. The remainder of the playing fields are available for public use.
We would like to remind local residents that no dogs are permitted on Hervey Road Playing Fields at any time.
