Bandits Weekly

Morning Folks,

***STOP PRESS *** Anyone know a qualified ref that’s available for Saturday’s match?  Kent RFU haven’t been able to provide one yet 🙁

GAME ON | Old Colfeians 3’s | Meet 12:45pm | KO 2pm |Kidbrooke Colosseum (aka Well Hall)

Thank you to everyone that responded to the call.  Funny how a home game, a beer promotion and a RWC battle brings out the best in everyone.  I’ve agreed with the opposition that we can forego the 18 man squad rule, so everyone should get part of a game.

However, other teams may not be so accommodating and therefore if I find myself in this fortunate position again, I will prioritise those that have paid their membership, so please get it paid.  Why not do it now?  Details below.

Bandits Photo – Class of 2015/16

Regardless of whether you’re playing or not, please come along and support.  More importantly be there for the Bandits squad photo.  Make your face part of the club history.

Another RWC weekend promotion

If you didn’t make it the World Cup Launch meal , you missed a great night. Good food, good company and personally speaking a good England result.  The evening was topped off with a circus clown act delivered by Olly Brewer and John Hull, the latter sporting a perfect black-eye by the morning.

I can’t promise the same level of entertainment, but it sounds as if there is going to be a large crowd, with some of the 1st XV Men and Women making an appearance.  Boat race anyone, er sit down Tim Brindle.

Parkhouse II’s | Great Bandit effort on the pitch

I genuinely think we caught Park House off guard as we continue our new theme of being first out of the blocks.  Unfortunately though the match turned out to be a marathon and not a sprint.  Match report available here.

Training | Wednesdays, 7:15 pm | Well Hall

Some more new faces. Welcome:

  • Ashley Peet
  • Fintan Casey
  • Sam Jaques

There’s no doubt that training is working.  We’re already better organised and more fired up when the game starts.  Lets keep it going.

Club Membership

The numbers continue to grow, but we still need more.  If you haven’t paid-up yet, details available at

Please note the additional £70 covers all match fees, so the sooner you pay your membership, not only will you get some great benefits (like 10% off the bar at Well Hall), you’ll also be saving money over the season. This means out of fairness to those that have paid their memberships (and therefore their season’s match fees), after a game I will be collecting £1 from Members (to go towards opposition jug) and £10 (yes TEN pounds) from non-members (a student discount will be applied); this will cover the match day fees and a contribution towards the infrastructure that allows us to enjoy everything that is rugby.

If you can’t afford the one-off hit, there are payment plans available. If you still can’t afford it, please talk to me.

Hopefully see you on a pitch or in a bar soon 🙂
