Tomorrow Blackheath head west to the Forest of Dean to take on Cinderford. Kick off at Dockham Road is at 3 pm.
Cinderford have been on the rough end of the recent heavy rainfall with their last three matches being postponed, two at home, and then last week at Bishop’s Stortford.
This means they haven’t played a competitive fixture for a month and will be champing at the bit to get on the field and find a repeat of their 27-13 victory at Well Hall in November.
At that time the Gloucestershire side were in good form, that win making it seven from their opening ten games, but mid-season has seen them fall away a little and they currently sit in tenth position.
Blackheath remain in fifth position having been unbeaten now in their last six matches. The Club’s latest success, the 12-3 win over Cambridge last weekend, may have had its fair share of good fortune, but Nick Foster’s first half try was exceptional given the conditions, and a dominant pack put Blackheath on the front foot for most of the match.
Foster takes his place tomorrow in an unchanged backline, though at half-back the unfortunate Jack Daly is replaced by Stef Liebenberg.
Danny Herriott starts at tight-head, Jamie Ure and Tom Baldwin returns to the back-row.
Blackheath team to play Cinderford. Kick-off 3 pm.
