On Tuesday 18th April a Special General Meeting of members took place at Well Hall. The proposal from the Executive Committee to buy the freehold of Well Hall was unanimously approved by over 70 members who attended the meeting and more than 20 members who submitted proxy votes in support. The second proposal to amend the Rules of the Club to enable sufficient debt finance to be raised in support of the purchase of the freehold was also unanimously approved. The Executive Committee will now move forward to progress the legal process to buy the freehold and raise the finance necessary from a combination of Grant funding, member support and external finance. Further updates to members will be given in due course. Thank you to those who gave their support to the proposals.
