Blackheath Rugby is thrilled to announce the signing of Will Davis, a prop who will also be part of the coaching team.
Will joins us from Ealing Trailfinders. He is the 3rd highest capped player in the club’s history, with over 130 caps to his name. He achieved this over two stints with Ealing, either side of playing for Northampton Saints. He gained valuable premiership experience whilst at the East Midlands club and ended up rejoining Ealing after his contract ended. Will originates from Bristol and represented his hometown club, Bristol Bears, before the move to London. He has enjoyed spells at Bath, Worcester Warriors and spent time in New Zealand with Auckland Blues Academy.
James Shanahan, Head Coach, says “Will Davis is a huge signing, and shows intent from the club. With over 10 years professional experience with Ealing and Northampton Saints he’ll add a huge amount to the squad and will be part of the coaching team developing our outstanding young props in Andy and Archie. Looking forward to working with him.”
Speaking about his recent signing, Will says “I am thrilled to be joining Blackheath. I know how rich in history the Club is and I am hoping to add to that. The fact I am coaching as well as playing allows me to offer as much as I can, on and off the field, to the Club. The squad that has been put together is very exciting and I can’t wait to get started!”
