Zak Skinner has made his famous father proud with gold medal performances in the recent European Para Championships. Zak has appeared regularly in European and World Championships over the last 4 years before this memorable success in Poland winning gold in the 100m and Long Jump.
As with all parents Mick and Anna have supported him throughout these campaigns and were overjoyed with these results.
Mick says: “I called from Poland shortly after he won the 100m. After parental praise “Gan on MY SON!” and when the race was over, I asked him why did he have such a weak left arm drive?”
Zak replied, “Funny you should say that, my coach at Aston says “It’s because I think I’ve got a rugby ball under it.””
