With pre-season just around the corner, we have some more new faces to introduce you to at Blackheath Rugby — Will Burns and Terrel Harry.
Previously playing down under for Southern Districts , Will is keen to get started and says “After being overseas for the past three years, joining a club with the history and ambition of Blackheath felt like the right opportunity. I’m really looking forward to getting to work with the squad and building towards the season ahead.”. Tom Stradwick, Head Coach, thinks Will is going to be a great addition and says “Will is a versatile back rower who can add real value in the lineout. Having taken a small break from the game I am sure he will be eager to back into training and show us what he can do on the pitch.”.
Terrel, who’s previous club was Rams, can’t wait to join and says “I’m looking forward to knowing and learning from all the boys at Blackheath, and getting stuck in and playing a good bit of rugby.” Strads is also looking forward to having Terrel on board and says “Terrel is a powerful prop that will be looking to make his mark this season. I think he will thrive in an environment where there is competition for places which will bring the best out in him.”
On the new signings, Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director, says “Some more new names for our supporters and members to get to know for the coming season. We welcome Terrel and Will to Club and look forward to seeing them get into the swing of things straight away. They come from different Clubs with varying levels of experience and it will be great to see how they take on National 1 opposition and progress this season.”
