President of the Club, Rory O’Sullivan, is saddened to announce that we have lost one of our Club brothers — Richie Hails.
“Richie, with his very good buddy Phil Unwin, followed the footsteps of Micky Skinner down from Blaydon RFC in the 1990’s where he very soon made a very big mark as a pocket rocket scrum half. Although small in stature, he was always in control — be it with his ‘nip and tuck’ move off a line out or his ability to hit his inside centre with pin point accuracy with his pass. Off the pitch he could light up a room with his beaming smile and cheeky ‘Jordie’ humour. What a great and lovely fella to be with.”
