Bandits Extra XV v Bromley 3s 1st February 2025
The men’s social section was able to field two sides for the first time in almost a decade, and the ‘Bandits Extra XV’ welcomed Bromley 3s to the Utilita.
A new-look Bandits side featuring two debutants as well as a couple of old friends managed to string together a cohesive performance that belied the new combinations. Dafydd Lloyd opened the scoring before a set piece move put Clifford Pinnock over in the corner. Joe Hodgkiss then powered over from close range. The second half saw tries for Tim Catling, Dan Gilmour, Neil Barton and James Bonser, who also kicked four conversions. The final score of 43-0 reflected some enterprising attacking play and solid defence, but doesn’t reflect a game performance from Bromley who remained competitive throughout.
Then to Pitch One at 2pm when the Bandits league team took to the field to play Old Elthamians 2s in front of a sizeable crowd of players from both teams featuring in the earlier game, away supporters and more Club Members than we could have possibly hoped for.
