Blackheath Rugby is excited to announce the signing of Leo Jowett, a Centre who joins us from Coventry.
James Shanahan, Director of Rugby, says “Leo comes highly recommended after a couple seasons with Coventry academy. Versatility is his key, playing 12/13 or 10, and he brings a left foot option into the midfield. Can’t wait to see him play!”
“Great to see Leo joining us following in the footsteps of his father Dean, who played for Club back in 1995/96,” says Managing Director, Russell Ticehurst. “Leo has been with Coventry, and is a fabulous young talent that we hope can bring his pace and skills to the fore in National 1. He plays at fly half or centre, and has a great left boot and we look forward to seeing him at the Utilita very soon.”
Leo is also very happy to be joining the Club and says “I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the season with the lads. It’s a great club with a big history — my dad has played here as well, so will be good to try and get into the same shirt a couple of decades on!”
