We are delighted to welcome Nick Cook to Blackheath Rugby — a back row player who was previously at Westcombe Park.
Telling us about Nick, Blackheath Rugby’s Head Coach Tom Stradwick says “Nick Cook is a highly competitive back row who brings ball carrying, breakdown strength and leadership qualities. He has a real appetite for work that fits perfectly with how we want to play. We’re thrilled to bring him into the group for the upcoming this season.” Nick can’t wait to start, and says “At the time of signing I was excited by the idea that the club would be challenging to win Nat One… Now I guess it’s a slightly different challenge, but another I’m keen to buy into!”
On the new signing, Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director, says “Nick has had another fantastic season and was recognised as N2E Player of the season at No 8. We are really looking forward to seeing Nick continue that form with us this season and everyone is looking forward to watching him go from strength to strength as he steps up a couple of levels. We have no doubt that Nick will shine and hope he finds his feet as quickly as possible.”
