We’re delighted to announce the signing of centre/winger Taitusi Qaniuci who joins us from Cambridge.
Telling us about Taitusi, Blackheath Rugby’s Head Coach Tom Stradwick says “Taitusi is a versatile player who is comfortable playing virtually anywhere in the backline outside of 10. He’s a powerful carrier with good footwork and we are excited to see him perform in training and during the pre season fixtures.” Taitusi also can’t wait to get started, and says “Its a new environment for me with new players, coaches and management but same rugby. It’s a newly promoted team to Champ level and I’m sure everyone is keen to be able to compete in the competition with other clubs. I can’t wait to meet everyone and be part of Blackheath family, find that connection with each other, get involved and see what Champ rugby has in store for us this season.”
On the new signing, Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director, says “We are pleased to welcome winger Taitusi Qaniuci from Cambridge where he had a debut season in the Champ. We look forward to seeing him at training and see how he fits in to the squad.”
