Blackheath Rugby is delighted to announce the signing of Tom Everard. Tom joins us in the second row from Jersey Reds.
“We are pleased to welcome Tom to Blackheath as he looks to transition from full time rugby into a full time career alongside rugby in National One” says Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director of Blackheath Rugby. “Tom joins a long list of players that have joined Club over the past few seasons looking to find a career alongside rugby, and we are delighted to have helped them and Tom get into the next stage of their lives. We look forward to Tom getting back on the pitch after a nasty injury he sustained back in April in Jersey final game of the season. He will bring Championship experience, professionalism and a bit of size in the Second Row, and we wish him all the best with his future here at Blackheath.”
James Shanahan, Head Coach, agrees with Russ and say “Tom is a second row from Jersey who is currently recovering from a broken leg he got in May. We have helped to find him employment and hopefully he will be back either late this year or early in the New Year. He’s a big, physical presence, and I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s played 7+ years in full time rugby, so hopefully we can get him back on the pitch ASAP.”
Tom is also looking forward to joining Blackheath Rugby. He says “It’s been a tough journey with my injury. However, I’m really looking forward to joining Blackheath and starting my new chapter.”
We wish Tom all the best for the next few months of rehab, and can’t wait to see him on the pitch when he’s fully recovered. Welcome to The Club, Tom!
