New Vice Presidents Appointed at the Club’s July AGM
We are delighted to announce that at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in July, members unanimously approved the appointment of two new Vice Presidents of Blackheath Football Club. Both individuals have given years of exceptional service to our club and thoroughly deserve this official recognition.
Please congratulate our new Vice Presidents:
Kirsten Jowett
- Kirsten has been a dedicated member for many years. Most recently, she completely transformed our Club Safeguarding governance structure, ensuring a strong, proactive safeguarding policy is fully embedded across all age groups, Minis, Juniors, and our wider Community Programme.
Craig Malloy
- One of our true ‘back room’ silent heroes, Craig has spent the last five seasons managing the Club XV. As a tireless volunteer, he ensures fixtures run smoothly, independently handles all kit and ground logistics, and continually drives club revenue through player sponsorships and lunches.
Thank you both for your outstanding commitment and integrity. We are incredibly proud to welcome you as Vice Presidents of Blackheath F.C.
Remembering Ron Bailey
On Tuesday 25 August, many members of the Club attended Ron Bailey’s funeral to say goodbye to a great clubman, true gentleman, and Vice President.
Ron was a longstanding ambassador for Blackheath F.C. and gave many years of dedicated service to the Club. In recognition of that contribution, Club President Dr Alan Thompson presented him with the Blackheath F.C. Volunteer ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in January 2023, before a match against Old Albanians.
May he rest in peace, remembered with great affection and gratitude for his long and loyal service to the Club.
