On hearing the tragic news of the loss of Brendan McMillan and his father, Terry, the Club would like to send its most heartfelt condolences to the rest of his family and all of their friends.
We were all shocked to hear the news and will always remember Brendan as a fun and full of life character at Blackheath Rugby.
Whether Brendan was playing Club XV or 1st XV he was guaranteed to be doing so with a cheeky smile on his face and with overflowing energy. He was always great company on the train or on the bus travelling back from away games, and would be at the heart of the fun.
Brendan joined the senior sides at Blackheath Rugby in 2022 and made his 1st XV debut on the 22nd October of that season. He scored two tries in our season winning fixture against Westcliff RFC when we bounced straight back to National 1, and again was central to the post-promotion celebrations.
He was also a big part of the Club’s Mini and Junior section in his younger years, supported by Terry.
He will be remembered as full of fun, easy to talk to and he did everything with tremendous energy and warmth.
He will be missed by everyone at Blackheath Rugby.
