On Friday 6 February 2026, the Ashes Suite at the Kia Oval will once again open its doors to host the Blackheath Rugby City Lunch. The annual event is held to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Blackheath Rugby Development Fund, and we’re hoping to top the 250 attendees of 2025’s successful fundraiser.
More details in due course, but we’re delighted to announce that our guest speaker will be Wayne Barnes OBE, renowned former international rugby referee who, amongst other games, has presided over 27 Rugby World Cup matches, more than anyone else in history, at an unrivalled five Rugby World Cup tournaments.
James Fleming, Chairman of Blackheath Rugby, says “We’re very excited to have Wayne join us for what will be a fantastic lunch. He’s a superb speaker with many stories to tell, and we know he will entertain us, in what will be our biggest event yet!”
You can book your tickets (£95 per person or £950 for a table of 10) with Jeff Barnes at: jeffrey.barnes@blackheathrugby.co.uk
