Blackheath Rugby Club Welcomes First Team Player Jake Hennessey to Junior Training
On Sunday, 10th November, following a stellar performance and victory with the 1st team against Sale Rugby Club, Jake Hennessey took time out of his schedule to join the Blackheath Rugby Club Juniors. Jake generously shared his expertise, passion, and skills as he co-coached the Under 14s, inspiring the next generation of potential 1st team players.
Jake led the team through a series of skill and game zones, emphasising key principles of the game such as advancing forward, maintaining support, and ensuring continuity. His hands-on guidance provided invaluable insights, helping the players refine their technique and grow their confidence on the field. The Under 14s have had a fantastic start to the season, and the support from senior players like Jake offers even more motivation to excel.
This weekend, the Under 14s are gearing up for a challenging Kent Waterfall fixture away at Medway. It promises to be a competitive match, but with Jake’s guidance fresh in mind, the team is eager to put their skills to the test and bring home another win for Blackheath Juniors.
A massive thanks to Jake Hennessey from all of us in the Under 14s – your support means the world to our players and coaches alike!
