Blackheath Rugby is delighted to announce the signing of Sam Blade, a winger who joins us from Loughborough.
James Shanahan, Director of Rugby, says “Sam comes to the club from Italy but previously was a Loughborough lad, so he knows a few of the lads already at the club. A big, powerful, fast winger in the similar vain to Lloydy and Denham, so gives us great depth and competition. Sam also happy at 13 as a big carrier.”
Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director, can’t wait to see Sam in Club colours “I’m very pleased to welcome Sam Blade to Blackheath. He comes to us from Loughborough and brings both size and pace, which we look forward to seeing this season. He’s currently in Italy and will soon be back in the UK in time for pre season here at Blackheath. Welcome Sam!”
Speaking about his recent signing, Sam says “After a few years playing abroad, I’m looking forward to coming back to London and rekindling a few partnerships on the pitch. I’ve heard great things about the club as a whole and look forward to kicking things off in pre-season!
