Blackheath dedicates fixture to Utilita Giving

Utilita Giving is set to takeover Blackheath’s fixture against Rosslyn Park to support people facing fuel and food poverty.

Utilita Giving – the official charity partner of Blackheath’s principal sponsor, Utilita Energy – supports individuals, families and households who are having difficulty affording fuel and food across England, Scotland and Wales. Their innovative solution ‘One Call, That’s All’ offers a single point of contact for dignified, holistic, and personalised support.

Volunteers from the charity will run several activities in the lead up to the 3pm kick-off, which is taking place at The Utilita on Saturday, 27 September.

The takeover event will focus on gathering food and vital funds for Greenwich Foodbank and Utilita Giving.

Helen Boardman, Executive Director from Utilita Giving said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Utilita and Blackheath. Their ongoing support enables us to reach even more families experiencing fuel and food poverty, and together we can make a real difference where it is needed most.”

James Fleming, Chairman of Blackheath Rugby agrees “We are equally delighted to welcome our partners from Utilita Giving and their team to The Utilita. We are hoping for a big crowd for our London derby against Rosslyn Park, and this gives a great opportunity to raise the profile of the terrific work that the Charity does for the community.”
