Volunteers and Lions!

Yesterday was a great Club day – volunteers across players, members and supporters turned up early doors to help paint, clean, tidy and weed, before settling down with others in front of the TVs to watch the Lions first test against Australia! Watch a short video of the day here.

We managed to get loads done before the game started! We:

  • Painted the walls in the gym
  • Scrubbed clean the floor in gents toilet
  • Scraped and painted wall on inside entrance door
  • Spring cleaned the Coaches’ Office ready for Tom Stradwick to take over
  • Painted door frames in the changing room block
  • Jet washed front and side (Kidbrooke Lane) of GK bar
  • Weeded fence line in car park
  • Cut back weeds around groundsman containers for Millwall
  • Washed the walls in changing rooms 1,2,3 and the hallways, as well as the walls along the lefthand side in the top corridor.

Thank you to those who turned up to volunteer, thank you to everyone who came along to watch the Lions match, and thank you to the very generous sponsor of the day, who gave us a fab lunch –  the weather put paid to us having the planned BBQ, but our caterers ‘Bite Me’ put on a great spread!

The TVs will be on again next week, with the Second Test kicking off at 11:00, so please do come along and support the Lions at the Club!
