James Fleming, our Chairman, has a few words to say regarding our City Lunch that is happening in the new year – it’s a big event in our social calendar, and a very important fundraiser.

“I am delighted to inform you that we will be welcoming Paul Wallace to our City Lunch on 2 February next year as our special guest speaker. Paul was capped 46 times for Ireland at tight head prop and also won 3 caps for the British and Irish Lions in the winning Test series against South Africa in 1997. Tickets for the lunch are on sale now at £95 per head from Simon Boulter, our Bar Manager, who can be contacted at: simon.boulter@blackheathrugby.co.uk

The City Lunch is the most important event in our social calendar so we hope to attract a bumper crowd. We are also appealing for donations of prizes for the raffle and also auction lots for both the silent auction and the live auction. Please help us with donations and again, contact Simon Boulter if you have anything that you would like to donate, for which we would be very grateful.”

If you haven’t been to one of the Club’s City Lunches before, we cannot recommend it highly enough – last year’s event was superb, and it raised a lot of money for the Club and for Cardiac Risk in the Young, the charity that is very close to our hearts.

Tickets or tables of ten can be booked though Simon Boulter, and also let him know if any raffle or auction prizes you may be able to donate (simon.boulter@blackheathrugby.co.uk)

We hope to see you there!
