The Kent Women were on the road again this Sunday after a successful match away at Warwickshire last Sunday.
They came up against a strong Surrey side, who had previously beaten Kent Women 2 years in a row. However, the hosting team was unable to keep Kent away this time.
The Kent Women’s scrums dominated and the team did well to string together some swift phases of play. Some targeted kicks and determined chases kept the opposition on their toes.
The well-orchestrated Surrey back line and speed kept the score tight, but Kent were able to pull away in the second half leaving the final score at 12-20.
Kent Women won 2 out of 3 matches this campaign, and they look forward to building next year.
Well done to Blackheath Women’s side, Sophie Durman, on a great county campaign. Enjoy a well-deserved off season.
