Club trip over final curtain! Perhaps it was inevitable.  Since the start of the year, Blackheath have enjoyed an immaculate record on home soil, culminating in the enthusiastically-greeted victory over local rivals Old Elthamian a week ago which secured fifth position in National League One. Some textbook finishing, but Club must do better! The concession of a soft try at the outset, and another three minutes from time, caused Blackheath to come within a whisker of a fourth successive defeat against a Loughborough side fast becoming something of a hoodoo for the Club, in this high scoring contest. However, having […]

Joe Cool shoots down EEEs at the death When Blackheath lost 28-19 at Molesey Road in late October it signalled a decline in form that quickly ended any prospect of the Club making a serious challenge at the top of National League One, while for Esher it provided a much needed kick-start after a poor […]

Battling Blackheath denied a breach in the Mowden stronghold Photos courtesy of Mark Fletcher So often a match can turn on a single moment. On the hour mark of this closely fought contest, Club full-back Leo Fielding made a last-ditch tackle which, with a man available outside, denied Mowden Park an almost certain try. However, […]
